Every Day is a solo music project that forgoes expectations set forth by the unspoken guidelines of musical genres, doing so to convey sincere expression through innovative songwriting. Fallon Braddy, the project’s sole member, has explored creative possibilities with this project since 2011, starting with experimentations involving lo-fi microtape recordings and improvisational instrumentals which make up 2012’s “And I Hope Your Lives Don’t Blow” and 2013’s “_____Other___”. It would be some years later before crossing into meticulously nuanced, genre-defying works of “Help? Hope? Hear?” and “Illuminate EP”. Each release features the acoustic guitar as the centerpiece, though Fallon uses this notion to surprise the listener with elements of chiptune, ambience, and vocals polarizing from pleasant to harrowing. The heart of Every Day is revealed through contemplative lyrics, which act as a vessel for rhetorical dialogue regarding struggles of human identity, interpersonal complexities, and prayers of desperation.
Hear?/Heal. is Every Day’s latest release, revisiting old songs with 4 years of perspective and the fresh life breathed in the form of soundscapes by collaborator David Shay (Qajaq, Families, Dead Birds).
